Guest Ratings & Reviews
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The rooms were impeccable - inviting, comfortable, quiet, clean, and beautifully decorated, even more so than my old NYC studio apartment. The size was above average, making it feel very spacious. The service was warm and welcoming from the moment I made the reservation to the checkout. The staff were friendly, professional, and even knew how to mix some awesome cocktails. They also offered services like dry cleaning, bell staff/porter, wedding services, newspaper service, computer connection, and tours/ticket assistance. The location was fabulous, being convenient to everything you want to access in New York City, balanced by the old money vibe of Gramercy Park, with its beautiful old gothic and Italianate apartment buildings. I particularly loved the proximity to Union Square and the charming restaurants in the area, my favorite being Florian, where I enjoyed some amazing meatballs. However, there were a few downsides like the very paltry dining options which were more like fruit, coffee, and toast rather than a substantial meal; this was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, the hotel offered a pleasant dining experience if you prefer light meals. Overall, the facilities were top-notch, and I would rate them highly for their amenities. The price was reasonable for the value provided.
The hotel is in a charming three-story brownstone in Manhattan, offering an authentic experience near Union Square. The rooms, although spacious, might have been more luxurious in the past. The service is welcoming and accommodating, especially from staff members Alfonso and Judy. The location is convenient for exploring the city, with easy access to Union Square and the vibrant East Village. The dining experience in the attached Tea Salon is quaint and continental. Overall, a pleasant stay with some room for enhancement.
My stay at the Inn at Irving was fantastic! The period breakfast was terrific, the service was outstanding, and the location was simply amazing. Thank you, Inn at Irving, for a wonderful experience, though there were some quirky elements like an unbalanced dresser and a chirping toilet.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious and could easily accommodate extra beds, but some quirky issues like an unbalanced dresser and a noisy toilet were a bit inconvenient. On the bright side, the period breakfast was delightful, and the service was outstanding. The location was excellent, near Union Square, offering a real taste of New York living.
Staying at this inn was like finding a little gem in the heart of New York City. The rooms were functional but had some quirky characteristics like an unbalanced dresser and a chirping toilet. On the upside, they were huge and filled with unique decor touches that added to the overall charm of the inn.
